Licor 43 Baristo

Licor 43 Baristo

Licor 43 Baristo
  • What is Licor 43 Baristo?

Licor 43 Baristo is a fusion of the essence of Licor 43 Original with one of a kind coffee from the Canary Islands.

  • What makes it different from traditional coffee liqueurs?

Coffee liqueurs are normally elaborated with coffee as the predominant ingredient. Instead, Licor 43 Baristo is a complex liquid, because it‘s a fusion of the essence of Licor 43 Original (elaborated with 43 natural ingredients) and selected coffee. The result is a complex and elegant symphony of flavours.

  • Does all the coffee come from the Canary Islands?

We use a selection of different coffee varieties, among which we find the coffee from the Canary Islands. This coffee comes mainly from the island of Gran Canaria, where we find the Agaete Valley.  It has a long, rich tradition of over 200 years cultivating this singular, exotic coffee.

  • What makes coffee from the Canary Islands special?

In Agaete, local farmers have been cultivating the Arabica Typica variety for over 200 years. The production is very limited, which makes this coffee even more special and rare. Here, coffee grows under special conditions, such as (1) the unusually low altitude of 400 meters, (2) the volcanic soil, and (3) the shade of tropical fruit trees. Because of this peculiar “microclimate”, the fruit develops a series of aromatic notes from coffees cultivated in different latitudes: fresh citric notes together with mature fruit, dried fruit and also slight chocolate notes. This exotic taste profile of Canarian coffee mingles in a perfect fusion with the soul of Licor 43 Original.

  • Which coffee varieties are we using?

Coffee is a natural product. Depending on the quality of each harvest, we slightly adjust the selection of the different varieties. This way, for every batch, we find the perfect blend of coffees that can provide the unique tasting notes that we search for elaborating Licor 43 Baristo. Within the selection for Licor 43 Baristo, the Arabica Typica variety is predominant.

  • What does Licor 43 Baristo taste like?

Freshly roasted coffee with notes of dried fruits and chocolate, mingling harmoniously with mature fruit and subtle hints of citrus and vanilla.
